Linear algebra is a branch of mathematics that studies systems of linear equations and the properties of matrices. The concepts of linear algebra are extremely useful in economics and social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering. Due to its broad range of applications, linear algebra is one of the most widely taught subjects in high-level mathematics, and it is highly recommended for computer-science majors. Topics include complex numbers and operations over them, systems of linear equations and their solutions, matrices and matrix algebra, inverse matrices; determinants; inner products (dot products), orthogonality, cross products, and their geometric applications; linear independence, eigenvalue problems. And the second of the course includes elements of analytical geometry such as conical sections (ellipse, hyperbola, parabola), line and plane in the space.
