The course "Psychology" aims to study students with not psychological specialties based on psychological science, including topics: introduction to psychology, psychology of activity and cognitive processes, personality psychology.

Students successfully completing the course will be able to: Know: object, principles, methods of studying psychology. The main stages of formation and modern ideas about the subject of psychological science, the main sections of psychology and the sphere of practical use of psychological knowledge. Basic subject-psychological categories and concepts, the most important scientific directions of the theory of general psychology, the most important problems of psychology in the context of an updated system of psychological disciplines and various practices. To be able to: analyze activity, behavior, consciousness using the basic categories and concepts of general psychology, navigate in the space of psychological literature, carry out a bibliographic search on the topic, abstract the original psychological literature, analyze psychological knowledge as an object of assimilation, highlight its main components. To be competent: to own a system of general psychological concepts, the basic means of educational and professional activity, various forms of educational work in higher education.
